1930 Fairchild 71 N58993 s/n 37
This is a 1930 Fairchild 71 restoration project in very good condition. The fuselage appears undamaged and has many interior fittings as well as the most instruments and the panel. The original R985AN-1 engine is present. The wing has been disassembled for overhaul and new ribs have been manufactured. There are quite a few spare parts with the project including the cabin section of a second Model 71 with many fittings included.
The landing gear, wheels and brakes are also present, though not shown in the photos. From the records it appears that this aircraft was last restored in 1955. Several Fairchild 71 engineering drawings come with this project.
