Aircraft Projects
Mr. Gene Frank of Caldwell, Idaho was for many years a collector and restorer of antique aircraft. Mr. Frank recently passed away and his family has requested that Radial Engines, Ltd. help to find homes for his aircraft. Included in this collection are WWI Jenny trainers, many aircraft from the 1920s and 30s, and several WWII trainers (N3Ns, a PT 23 and a PT 19), twenty seven aircraft in all. Most of the aircraft will require some repair; some will need total restoration.
To date (October 26, 2005) we have spent fifty days sorting, photographing, and cataloging the parts and projects in Idaho. We still have a few days work left to do, and will continue to update and post new photos to this site as we have them.
Since the aircraft are in Idaho and we are in Oklahoma, it will be necessary to schedule appointments for those interested in viewing the aircraft. We will be in Idaho roughly once every three weeks until the collection is sold. If you have questions please call Caleb or Steve at (405) 433-2263.
The inventory consists of the following aircraft:
In addition to the aircraft, there is an inventory of the following engines:
We also have a Guiberson Diesel aircraft engine, a large selection of wood propellers and several small Continental, Lycoming and Franklin opposed engines. |
