The 1920s and 30s, the 'Golden Age of Aviation' and Second World War were times of intense aviation development. The competition between both engine and airframe manufacturers was intense as each firm unveiled new designs and as advances were made in performance and efficiency. Nowhere was this seen more clearly than in the advertising of the day.
Radial Engines, LTD has gathered together a large collection of original sales ads displaying such products as aircraft engines, accessories, components, and of course the aircraft themselves. The ads are grouped loosely by manufacturer and are chronologically ordered from the earliest to the latest release. These beautiful advertisements provide a window into another era when airplanes sported tailwheels and engines were round. |
